The attempt to fix the leak failed so I thought I would go ahead and replace the supply line until I picked up a new faucet. I was able to loosen the nuts on the grey supply line both at the faucet end and at the copper line below, but the grey flex line didn’t even budge when I tried to pull it out from the copper end. It ended up snapping off see photo. Now I’m not sure at all about how to get that line disconnected in order to put a new one in.
The flex supply line definitely had to be replaced as the pinhole just kept getting larger. But after the line snapped off at the connection I was screwed because the shut off below it is frozen in the on position.
Calculating The Correct Water Supply Line Size
There are two places on the washer for the water to come into, one is for the hot water and one is for the cold water. You will have to determine what faucet in the wall connects to the hot water faucet and which one connects to the cold water faucet. Once you have determined which faucet is the hot and which is the cold, you will then have to screw in the hose from the hot water faucet to the hot water inlet on the washer and screw in the hose from the cold water faucet to the cold water inlet on the washer.
The hot water is usually the faucet that is to the left of the cold water faucet. The screw in connections for the water inlets usually say “H” for hot and “C” for cold right next to the inlet.
